SESIL

SESIL enhances physical books with context-related additional digital content

The SESIL system, based on OCR techniques, recognizes words pointed by a student on a physical book and provides additional relevant information. SESIL can be used in combination with educational applications providing context-based information. For example, in the context of learning a second (foreign) language, the student indicates a word on the page and information related to word definition, synonyms, related images and videos is displayed on a near-by screen.
