Archaeological Museum of Neapolis Voion

Neapoli Voion

Since December 2024

The Human–Computer Interaction Laboratory of ICS-FORTH developed and installed a tablet-based digital application named Coin-O-Rama at the Archaeological Museum of Neapolis Voion, aiming to present and support the in-depth study of coins.

Specifically, Coin-O-Rama allows visitors to select a coin from the main collection and get more information about it. Βy selecting a coin, both of its sides are displayed in an enlarged scale, while users have the opportunity of additional magnification allowing them to observe more details of the coin that are difficult to distinguish with the naked eye.

The museum aims at enhancing experiential learning and attracting even more visiotrs, with the assistance and the advantages that new technological solutions have to offer.
