Nikos Kazantzakis at CRETAquarium

Nikos Kazantzakis Museum, aiming to promote the work of N. Kazantzakis, as well as the Museum itself to visitors of Crete, collaborated with HCI of ICS-FORTH to install the interactive system Infocloud. The system was temporarily installed at the CRETAquarium Thalassokosmos, offering visitors an innovative experience to learn about the life and work of the great author.

The system comprises a collection of keywords, images and video thumbnails displayed on a large touch screen. The information presented in a constant flow consists of quotes, poems, novels, travel books, postcards  and inspiration guides of Nikos Kazantzakis during his continuous work. When a word/image is selected, an information window opens, which may contain an image or video clip accompanied by a short textual description. All selected items can be freely moved and tossed around, as well as magnified or shrunk using multi touch gestures.
