Pireaus Bank – 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821

Piraeus Bank has launched a multifaceted Anniversary Action Plan for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821, which aims, among other things, to disseminate historical knowledge to the public and to bring young people in direct contact with the documents of history and culture.

In this context, ICS-FORTH developed Printing Press Simulator, an innovative interactive system to present historical material focusing on the Hymn to Liberty and the Greek Revolution heroes of 1821. The system is installed on the ground floor of the Headquarters of Piraeus Bank and through a touch screen and a manual lever, it allows to the public to browse digital historical material.
