The Municipality of Heraklion was presented a Gold Award in the category “Innovative Use of Technology” for the project “Interactive Heraklion (digital applications for the promotion of the sustainable urban development intervention area)”, which was implemented in collaboration with the Institute of Computer Science of the Foundation for Research and Technology-HELLAS (ICS-FORTH). The Project utilizes modern digital technologies to offer users a unique, interactive experience that promotes awareness of the culture and history of the city of Heraklion through descriptive texts and rich audiovisual material.
