Smart Cupboard is an innovative intelligent system for kitchen storage, which is designed to accommodate a wide variety of users, including adults, children, elderly people, and people with disabilities. It has the ability to understand user’s actions and intentions and act accordingly, hence it permits users to a) be aware of the availability of the kitchen ingredients, b) be informed when it’s time to replenish a storage subsection, and c) prepare their meals in a comfortable manner.

The movable part of the cabinet can be opened and closed either by touching the surface of the door, or by appropriate voice commands, while an embedded touch screen permits the users to get information regarding the contained products. Finally, the cabinet is equipped with led lights (on the surface of the door and on the shelves of the sliding compartment) so as to help the users locate the products that they request.
